Amritsar (and Punjab)

Amritsar, home to the Golden Temple (literally meaning "holy pool of nectar") is one of the most ancient and fascinating cities of India. It is an important seat of Sikh history and culture. Being the gateway for travellers coming to India on the overland route from central Asia it soon became the centre of various commercial activities. The Golden Temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib was initiated by the fourth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Ramdas Jee and completed in 1601 by his successor Guru Arjan Dev Jee.
Also i posted pictures from Wagah Border. The final frontier, Wagah about 28 kms. from Amritsar is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. It’s an interesting experience especially at sunset when the 'Retreat' ceremony takes place with the BSF on the Indian Side of the Border. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags ceremony is carried out with great pomp.
And pictures from Pushpa Gujral Science City (some kind of atraction, like Disneyland). Pushpa Gujral Science City offers a blend of education, curiosity and fun to ensure longer and repeated visits.
